HO HO HO!!

Well, it was shaping up to be a bit of a bleak Christmas this year as it appeared we'd missed our only opportunity to see Santa. However, tonight we were hit with a spot of luck! Larr and I thought it'd be fun to take Ace to the Winter Wonderland in Bywaters Park for a bit. It was a nice night out, and the little man really enjoys looking at Christmas lights. So as we're driving through the square and past the tiny red hut where the jolly old elf usually camps out, what do we spy but a light on inside! He was there! Santa was, quite literally, "in da house!" So in true Larr form, tires screech and he peels out in our beloved new CR-V quite the way you'd imagine Bo and Luke Duke to do in a race to escape Boss Hog. We sped home, grabbed our camera, and got back just in time for Ace to see the big guy. And he was so good, too! I just knew he'd be terrified of him. And he was a little bashful at first, but he was all grins later on, especially after receiving his complimentary candy cane. It doesn't take much to win our man over.
