Sophie Goes to the Salon

posted by Christi at 9:00 PM
Well, Sophia took her first step into womanhood last Thursday. She had her very first haircut!! Larr's cousin, Kimmie, trimmed her curls so they'd be bouncier and then gave her some bangs. That's right, she can actually SEE now without a barrette in her hair! Kimmie did a great job; she was so patient with her! Seriously, the child didn't even wanna wear the cape! But Kimmie persisted, Larr entertained, and Sophie settled down. Where was I?? Snapping pictures of course!
And so it begins....

Notice she's NOT wearing the cape.

Just a little off the top, please!

Now for the bangs! This is a big deal since before we were constantly pinning her hair out of her eyes. Larr and I had switched places at this point. She needed Mom in order to "close the deal."

And here's her new coif! Isn't she a precious little pixie??! And to top it all off, she can see!

Okay, so this picture's a little random, but in the spirit of "firsts," I thought you guys might like to see Sophie's very first school picture! It was taken a couple of weeks ago at Mother's Day Out, so it's pre-haircut, but isn't it adorable?! That book must be REALLY funny!

My little Sophie is such a little doll. The three of you, Kim, Larr and Christi did a great job getting her hair trimmed. Now she can see. :) Kisses for our Sophie.
